Lithium batteries are lighter, more efficient and have a longer lifespan, but requires more precise charging to avoid overcharging damage and avoid potential safety issues.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will need to check your existing chargers and equipment manuals for support of lithium batteries before buying and swapping the AGM batteries with lithium batteries. The equipment you should check for lithium support may include but not limited to: your DC-DC charger, solar charge controller, and 240v charger.There are 2 main methods for restarting a lithium battery that was run flat. The \u003cstrong\u003e1st method\u003c\/strong\u003e is the simplest and needs only a lithium compatible 240v charger with a ‘power supply’ mode to wake the battery up and continue charging it. Connect the battery to the 240v charger with the mode set to ‘power supply’ and then let it charge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003cstrong\u003e2nd method\u003c\/strong\u003e can restart a flat lithium battery without a 240v charger; instead requiring:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e– Another 12v battery with similar voltage and capacity as your Custom Lithium battery.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e– Jumper leads with positive and negative clamps.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e– A vehicle or power source with a DC-DC charger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe steps are as follows:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e1. Position the two batteries next to each other, ensuring that the positive and negative terminals of each battery are not touching.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e2. Connect the positive clamp of the jumper leads to the positive terminal of both batteries.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e3. Connect the negative clamp of the jumper leads to the negative terminal of both battery.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e4. Turn on the vehicle or power source with the DCDC charger to start charging your battery.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e5.
